RE: MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION NO. 5687 - AMENDMENT TO RULES FOR ORGANIZATION
AND PROCEDURE

TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MR. CHAIRMAN, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
The Committee on Organization, by Mr. Patrick K. Daly, Chairman,
submits the following Report on Miscellaneous Resolution No. 5687:
The Committee recognizes the des ability and importance of
commencing all meetings of the Board and of its Committees on time
at the hour for which they are called and so recommends to the
Board.
The Committee further recommends that all members be requested
to renew their awareness of the desirability of constant attendance
and seek to restrict their absenteeism to a minimum and increase
attentiveness.
The Committee takes note of and express approval of the
practice of the Committee Clerk to redord the time of arrival or
departure of Committee members subsequent to commencement or prior
to adjournment of Committee meetings and further commends the
practice of recording the absence of any member on any vote of
record.
The Committee on Organization, by. Mr. Patrick K. Daly, Chairman,
moves the adoption of the foregoing Report.

by adding to the last paragraph, "Th!at this practice also will
apply to Board meetings,"

Burley, Coy. (15)
A sufficient majority not having voted therefor, the motion lost.

A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the motion carried.
