Hobart, Chairperson, Planning and Building Committee In Re: Transfer of 7+ Acres of Property to Springfield Township TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Cnairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen; WHEREAS the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission owns seven acres of land known as the Davisburg Mill Pond site located in Davisburg, Michigan, adjacent to the Springfield Oaks Golf Course, and WHEREAS this property has been leased for $1 per year by the Township of Springfield for several years as a swimming beach and park facility, and WHEREAS the Township of Springfield has expended a considerable amount of funds to ..mprove the swimming beach and park facility, and WHEREAS the Township of Springfield is desirous of being the sole owner of this property before additional improvements are ini- tiated, and WHEREAS the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission has determined that the Mill Pond site, because of its size and isolation from the remaining park, does not fall within the perimeters of the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission's philosophy for park usage, and WHEREAS the Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission recommends that the County of Oakland transfer ownership of the Mill Pond property to the Township of Springfield for the sum_ of One Dollar ($1.0D), and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners hereby transfers ownership of the Mill Pond property to the Township of Springfield for the sum of One Dollar ($1.00), and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the conveyance of said property includes the performance of and compliance with the covenants, condi- tions and restrictions set forth and the assumption of the pro-rata financial obligations for repairs to the Mill Pond Dam as determined by an actual engineering survey and based upon actual frontage on the Mill Pond.
