IN RE: REPORT OF OPPOSITION TO EXCEEDING 15-MILL LIMITATION
TO FINANCE THE 1972 COUNTY BUDGET
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
The 1972 County budget as submitted by the Board of Auditors contains a
recommendation to exceed the 15-mill limitation to finance said County budget.
Your Committee does not support the recommendation to exceed the 15-mill
ceiling and wishes to be on record with such non -support.
The Personnel Practices Committee, by William L. Mainland, Chairman,
moves the acceptance of the foregoing report.
PERSONNEL PRACTICES COMMITTEE
Moved by Mainland supported by Brennan the resolution be adopted.
Mrs. Simon requested that Daniel T. Murphy, Chairman of the Board
of Auditors, be allowed to address the Board. There were no objections.
Mr. Murphy spoke to the Board.

Szabo, Aaron, Brennan, Burley, Coy, Daly, Doyon, Hamlin, Harrison, Horton,
Houghten, Kasper, Lennon, Mainland, Mathews, Olson, Patnales. (23)

A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the resolutions were adopted.
