Per inoff October 12, 1970 RESOLUTION NO. 5514 RE: EXTERIOR MARBLE ON COURT HOUSE TOWER BY: PLANNING, ZONING AND BUILDING COMMITTEE - Mr. Richardson TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MR. CHAIRMAN, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: WHEREAS, the exterior marble on the Court House Tower has been • found to be shifting; and WHEREAS, at the present time the marble is continuing to shift; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Planning, Zoning and Building Committee that experts be empaoyed to investigate and advise the County as to the method of correcting the situation. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Auditors employ the firm of Smith, Hinchman and GryllsAssociates, Inc. to investi- gate and advise the County as to the best method of correcting the exterior marble problem as it presently exists on the Court House Tower. Pqwell Mary Mead Bawden October 12, 1970 FINANCE COMMITTEE FISCAL NOTE RE: EXTERIOR MARBLE ON COURT HOUSE TOWER TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MR. CHAIRMAN, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: Pursuant to Rule 15-b of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed the recommendation of the: Planning, Zoning and Building Committee Co pay the sum of $10,000.00 to employ the firm of Smith, r Hinchman and Gryals Associates, Inc. to investigate the exterior marble on the Court House Tower, AND FINDS the sum of $10,000.00 to be available in the Building Fund and further moves that an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 be allocated to employ the firm of Smith, Hinchman and Grylls Associates• Inc. Moved by Richardson supported by Perinoff the resolution be adopted. Discussion followed. A sufficient majority having voted :therefor, the resolution was adopted.
