WHEREAS, the County of Oakland is a member of the Huron-,
nton Metropolitan Authority; and
:3, there does no esently exist a Huron-Clinton
Metropolitan Park Facility in the County of Oakland; and
your Committee recommends and urges the
Clinton. Metropolitan Authority to develop a large metropolitan
facility to be located in the County of Oakland.
TT RESOLVED that the CH17-nd County Board
of C.--ssioners recommends and urges the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan
Authgrity to develop a large metropolitan park facility located
within the County of Oakland.

Moved by Wilcox supported by Mainland the resolution be tabled.
A sufficient majority not having voted therefor, the motion lost.

Moved by Richardson supported by .Gabler the resolution be referred
to the Parks and Recreation Commission. (Motion ruled out of order.)
Moved by Powell supported by Coy that action on the resolution
be postponed until the next meeting subsequent to the October 5, 1970
meeting.
