TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS:
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, the County of Oakland owns property located at 6500
Highland Road, Waterford Township, Michigan, Tax Sidwells Nos. 13-
i7-400-002 and 13-17-351-009, known as Oakland/Pontiac Airport;
and
WHEREAS, the Detroit Edison Company and Consumers Power
Company are requesting easements on County-owned property at the
Oakland/Pontiac Airport for the installation, operation and
maintenance of underground electric and gas utility service lines.
WHEREAS, the Airport Committee and Airport Manager have
reviewed and recommend the granting of these easement requests.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners approves the granting of these easements to Detroit
Edison and Consumers Power Companies for the installation and
maintenance of electric and gas utility lines at the Oakland/
Pontiac Airport.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners directs its Chairperson to execute the necessary
documents to effect the same.

For good and valuable consideration of system betterment, the undersigned hereby grant and convey to
THE DETROIT EDISON COMPANY, a Michigan corporation of 2000 Second Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, and
hereinafter referred to as 'EDISON", the right to construct, reconstruct, modify, add to, operate and maintain
underground line facilities consisting of poles, conduits, wires, cables, manholes, transformers and
accessories required to provide electric services in, under, upon, over and across property located in the
Township of Waterford, County of Oakland, State of Michigan, further described as follows:

500 ft., thereof, all of N. 1/2 of S.W. 1/4, also part of S. 1/2 of S.W., 1/4 beginning at a point distant N.

The right of way is Ten (10') feet in width.
The rights hereby granted include the right of access to and from the right of way and the right to trim, cut
down or otherwise control trees, brush or roots of any kind either within the right of way or on property
adjoining the right of way which in the opinion of the GRANTEE interferes with the construction or operation
of the line facilities. It is expressly understood and agreed that the GRANTEE shall, at no time, trim or cut
down any trees unless, in the GRANTEE'S opinion, it is absolutely necessary to do so. The GRANTEE shell
restore premises to its original condition or as near as can be in the event of damages caused by its
employes, contractors, vehicles and equipment entering premises for the purposes set forth herein.
No buildings or structures are to be placed within said right of way herein granted without the written
consent of the GRANTEE.
This grant is declared to be binding upon the heirs, successors, lessees, licensees and assigns of the
parties hereto.

Also conveying the right, from time to time and at no additional cost to Grantee, to cut, trim, remove, destroy or other-
wise control any trees, roots, brush or other vegetation which may, in the opinion of Grantee, interfere or threaten to inter-
fere with or be hazardous to the construction, operation or maintenance of said facilities. Grantor agrees that no buildings
or other structures will be placed over said facilities or within such proximity thereto as to interfere with or, in the opinion of
Grantee, threaten to interfere with the construction, operation or maintenance of said facilities. Nonuse or a limited use of this
easement by Grantee shall not prevent Grantee from later making use of the easement to the full extent herein authorized.

of a gas main under and across a strip of land 12 foot in perpendicular
width the centerline of which is described as part of the Northeast 1/4
of section 17, Town 3 North, Range 9 East, Waterford Township, Oakland
County, Michigan. Being more particularly described as commencing at the
East 1/4 corner of said Section 17; thence North 02*17'54" West 1250.08
feet along the East line of said Section 17 to a point; thence South
87*4206" West 1310.15 feet to the point of beginning; thence proceeding
North 76 *21'54" West 32.50 feet to a point; thence North 00 *30 1 34" West
56.64 feet to a point; thence South 87 *27'36" West 240.39 feet to the
point of ending.
