IN RE: SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT - AUTHORIZATION TO RECEIVE BIDS - FLOOR SLAB
FOR MARINE DIVISION STORAGE BUILDING
TO: OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS,
MR. CHAIRPERSON, LADIES, AND GENTLEMEN:
WHEREAS, the Marine Division Storage Building was constructed at
the Trusty Camp approximately 10 years ago as a pole structure with a
dirt floor and was intended to serve as a shelter facility; and
WHEREAS, over the years, the use of the building has evolved to
include not only shelter but also service and maintenance to boats,
trailers, and snowmobiles; and
WHEREAS, the replacement of the dirt floor with a concrete slab
would do much to improve the working conditions in the building; and
WHEREAS, the installation of such a concrete floor slab has been
estimated to cost $20,000; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project is available in the 1990
Capital Improvement Program,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works
be, and is hereby, authorized to advertise said project for bids, receive
bids, and to report to the Planning and Building Committee upon receipt
and tabulation of such bids.
Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Planning and Building
Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
