MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION NO. 89110

IN RE: SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT - DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY HELD BY
SHERIFF
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Sheriff of Oakland County, by letter of April 10,
1989, has requested authority from this Board to dispose of recovered
stolen property which has been unclaimed for six months or more after
recovery, such authority being necessary pursuant to the provisions of
Act 54 of the Public Act of 1959, as amended; said recovered stolen
property to be disposed of by manner of public auction to be held
Saturday, May 13, 1989.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that authority to dispose of
such unclaimed property be and the same is hereby granted to the
Sheriff of Oakland County, such unclaimed property to be disposed of in
the manner prescribed in Act 54 of the Public Acts of 1959, as amended.
Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Public Services Committee, I
move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.

A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the resolution was adopted.

adopted by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners at their regular meeting

and of the whole thereof.
