WILLIAM CADDELL, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: COMMUNITY DEVEOPMENT DIVISION - EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT (E) FUND ACCEPTANCE FOR HOMELESS SHELTERS TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the County of Oakland in accordance with Miscellaneous Resolution #86186 filed a 1989 application for Emergency Shelter Grant funds in the amount of $51,000; and WHEREAS HUD by letter February 21, 1989 transmitted to Oakland County a grant in the amount of $51,000 for the fiscal year 1989, to be used within 180 days upon date of grant award; and WHEREAS the acceptance of this grant does not obligate the County to any further commitment. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners accept the 1989 Emergency Shelter Grant award in the amount of $51,000 as shown in attachment A. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners is directed to execute this contract. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of th Oakland County Board of Commissioners is authorized to approve minor changes and contract extension, not to exceed fifteen (15) percent variance, which is consistent with the contract or approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners amend the 1989 Budget as detailed in Schedule I. Mt. Chairperson, on behalf of the Finance Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
