MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #89129 May 25, 1989

IN RE: INSTITUTIONAL AND HUMAN SERVICES/HEALTH DIVISION - 1989 HIV
SERORREVALENCE SURVEY GRANT ACCEPTANCE
TO THE OAKIAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Tadies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS Miscellaneous Resolution #89105 requires the Finance Committee
to review acceptance of all grants that vary less than fifteen (15)
percent from the original grant application; and
WHEREAS the Oakland County Health Division applied to the Southeast
Michigan Health Association for $35,867 in HIV Seroprevalence Survey Grant
funds for the period May 1, 1989 through June 30, 1990; and
AS the MDPH has awarded the Health Division funds in the amount
of $35,570, which is $297 (1%) less than the application amount as
detailed on the attached Schedule A; and
WHEREAS grant funds will cover 100% of program cost, no County match
is required; and
WHEREAS no additional personnel are required to perform this function;
and
AS acceptance of this grant does not obligate the County to any
future commitments; and
WHEREAS the grant agreement has been reviewed and approved to form by
Corporation Counsel.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners accepts the 1989 HIV Seroprevalence Survey Grant in the
amount of $35,570 and authorizes the necessary amendments to the 1989
Budget as detailed in Schedule A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of the Board of
Commissioners be and is hereby authorized to execute said grant agreement
and to approve minor changes and contract extensions, not to exceed
fifteen (15) percent variance form the original agreement.
Mr. Chairperson on behalf of the Finance Committee, I move the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.
