RE: BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS-ESTABLISH ANNUAL SESSION,
RULE XX
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Government & Transportation Committee has been
charged by the Board of Commissioners to review and recommend
revisions to the Rules of the Board; and
WHEREAS it is beneficial to the operation of County government
that the Rules of the Board be stated clearly and concisely; and
WHEREAS upon advice of Counsel it has been determined that it
is not necessary to hold quarterly sessions and it is proper for the
Board of Commisisoners to meet in annual session.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Rule XX of the Rules of
the Oakland County Board of Commissioners be amended to add the
following language:
"The Board of Commissioners shall meet in annual session
during its term. Any business or resolution pending at
final adjournment of a regular session held in odd
numbered years shall carry over with the same status to
the next regular session."
Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Government & Transportation
Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.

resolution adopted by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners at their regular
