MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION # 89184

IN RE: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIVISION, 1989-1990 BUDGET AMENDMENT
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen.:
WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners authorized a
recapture of 1985, 1986 and 1987 Commercial Assistance Program (CAP) funds
totalling $517,719 (Miscellaneous Resolution #89015) to be reallocated to
the CAP Loan Pool, as well as amending the 1989 Budget; and
WHEREAS the 1989 Budget was further amended upon acceptance of the
Emergency Shelter Grant (ESC) Fund in the amount of $51,000 (Miscellaneous
Resolution #89053); and
WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners further approved the
acceptance of the 1989 Rental and Urban Development Rehabilitation grant
award in the amount of $139,000 per Miscellaneous Resolution #89054 and
amended the 1989 Budget; and
WHEREAS Miscellaneous Resolution #89158 accepted the 1989-90 Community
Development Block Grant in the amount of $3,646,000, in addition to
$671,652 in County Program Earned Income, and $1,661 in Community Program
Earned Income, for a total program amount of $4,319,313, with no budget
amendment; and
WHEREAS it was resolved that the 1989 Budget would he amended in
August, 1989 to reflect a more accurate detail of actual balances and
allocations in compliance Grantee Performance Report prepared by the
Community Development Division each year.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland COunty Board of
Commissioners amend the 1989 Budget to reflect the revisions as detailed
in Schedule A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no budget amendments will be made upon
acceptance of individual grants received by the Community Development
Division, but rather on an annual one-time basis in compliance with the
Grantee Performance report as prepared by the Community Development
Division.
Mr. chairperson, on behalf of the Finance Committee, I move the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.
