KUHN, JR., CHAIRPERSON IN RE: CIRCUIT COURT PROBATION DIVISION - ACCEPTANCE OF THE 1989-1990 PROBATION ENHANCEMENT GRANT TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: The Public Services Committee, having reviewed the above-referenced resolution, reports with the recommendation that said resolution be adopted. Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Public Services Commmittee, I move acceptance of the foregoing report. PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE dq-mrccprobac December 14, 1989 MISC A OUS RESOLUTION 89335 BY: FINANCE COMMITTEE, DR. G. WILLIAM CADDELL, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: CIRCUIT COURT PROBATION DIVISION - ACCEPTANCE OF THE 1989-1990 PROBATION ENHANCEMENT GRANT TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS Miscellaneous Resolution #89105 requires the Finance Committee to review acceptance of all grants; and WHEREAS this grant, for the period of October 1, 1989 to September 30, 1990, is a continuation of the grant accepted in Miscellaneous Resolution #89008; and WHEREAS the Finance Committee has reviewed this grant as approved by the Michigan Department of Corrections and finds the grant award in the amount of $67,000 the same amount of the original application as detailed in the attached schedule; and WHEREAS the grant award contract has been reviewed and approved as to legal sufficiency by the Office of Corporation Counsel; and WHEREAS this program is 100% state funded and does not obligate the county to further commitment; and WHEREAS the Budget anticipated the grant award in the amount of $67,000. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1) The Oakland County Board of Commissioners accept the 1988-89 Probation Enhancement Grant in the amount of $67,000; 2) The Chairperson of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners be authorized to execute this grant contract and be authorized to approve minor changes and grant extensions, not to exceed a fifteen percent (15%) variance, which are consistent with the approved grant. Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Finance Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
