8 MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION # 8429 November 8, 1984

TN RE: PROBATION DIVISION-1984-85 PROBATION ENHANCEMENT GRANT ACCEPTANCE
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS Miscellaneous Resolution #8145 requires the Finance Committee to review
acceptance of all grants that vary less than ten (10) percent from the original grant
application; and
WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Resolution
#84214 authorized the application for the Probation Enhancement Grant in the amount
of $60,662 for the time period October 1, 1984 through September 30, 1985; and
WHEREAS the Finance Committee has reviewed said grant as approved by the Michigan
Department of Corrections and finds the grant award in the amount of $60,662, the same
as the original grant application; and
WHEREAS said program is 100% funded by the State ($60,662); and
WHEREAS application or acceptance of the grant does not obligate the County to
any future commitment.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
accepts the Probation Enhancement Grant in the amount of $60,662.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Oakland County Board of Commis-
sioners be and is hereby authorized to execute said grant contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of this Board is hereby authorized to
approve minor changes and grant extensions, not to exceed a ten percent variance,
which are consistent with the grant as approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this grant contract has been reviewed and approved
as to form by the Office of Corporation Counsel.
Mr. Chairman, on behalf of the Finance Committee, I move the adoption of the
foregoing resolution.
