IN RE: HEALTH DIVISION SUBSTANCE ABUSE FUNDING AGREEMENT RENEWAL
APPLICATION - OCTOBER 1, 1984 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1985
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS according to normal grant procedures, the Finance Committee
has reviewed said funding agreement renewal application and referred its
report to the Health and Human Resources Committee; and
WHEREAS the Health and Human Resources Committee has reviewed and
authorized the Substance Abuse funding agreement renewal application in the
amount of $1,428,044 for the period October 1, 1984 through September 30,
1985; and
WHEREAS this agreement in the amount of $1,428,044 is funded by the
Michigan Department of Public Health, Office of Substance Abuse Services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners authorize the County Executive's Office to apply for Substance
Abuse funding agreement renewal application in the amount of $1,428,044 to
be funded by the Michigan Department of Public Health.
Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Health and Human Resources Committee,
I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
REPORT TO THE HEALTH AND HUMAN RESOURCES COMMTTTEE
BY: FINANCE COMMITTEE, DR. G. WILLIAM CADDELL, CHAIRMAN
IN RE: HEALTH DIVISION-1984-85 SUBSTANCE ABUSE GRANT APPLICATION
The Finance Committee has reviewed the proposed grant and finds:
1) This is an on-going grant in the eleventh (11th) year,
2) The grant covers a period of October 1, 1984 through September 30,
1985,
3) Funding is in the amount of $1,428,044; $1,131,510 for sub contract
agencies, $211,514 for special projects, $82,729 for administration
and $2,291 for indirect cost consistent with the attached Schedule I,
4) County funding for the same period is in the amount of $568,946 coD-
sisrent with the attached Schedule II,
5) All personnel changes will have to be approved by the Personnel
Coimuittee,
6) Application or acceptance of the grant does not obligate the County to
any future commitment.
Mr. Chairperscu, on behalf of the Finance Committee, I move the acceptance
of the foregoing report, and referral of the information contained therein to
the Health and Human Resources Committee, in accordance with Miscellaneous
Resolution #8145, Revised federal and State Grant Application procedures.
