Hobart, Chairperson IN RE: DEPARTMENT OF CORPORATION COUNSEL - REAL ESTATE SECTION - Sale of Vacant Property - Lot 42 and South 30.0 feet of Lot 43, "Bloomfield Sites Sub.", City of Bloomfield Hills, Sidwell #19-11-402-028 TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS: Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, in 1963, the County of Oakland acquired the following described property for use as a community well site: Lot 42 and South 30 feet of Lot 43, Bloomfield Sites, a subdivision of part of the southeast quarter of Section 11, T2N, R10E, City of Bloomfield Hills, Oakland County, Michigan, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Liber 71 of Plats, Page 21, Oakland County Records. Subject to restrictions of record. Subject to easements of record. Containing 1.35 acres. WHEREAS, the above property is no longer used as a well site and is excess to the County of Oakland's needs; and WHEREAS, appraisals have been made on the subject property to establish fair market value and are as follows: WHEREAS, sealed offers to purchase this property have been received by the Real Estate Section of Corporation Counsel and are as follows: Herm Conner 26535 Middlebelt Rd. $28,000 Farmington Hills, MI $3000/dn Cash Sale WHEREAS, Mr. Daly and Mr. Conner have been extended an opportunity to review any and all records regarding the referenced property on file with the Real Estate Section offices of Corporation Counsel, and both acknowledge and understand that the subject property has sub-soil conditions which may render the subject property cost prohibitive and/or unbuildable for residential housing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning and Building Committee hereby recommends that the offer of Lyle K. Daly of $36,000 be accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners to execute the necessary documents for the sale of said property. Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Planning and Building Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
