CERTIFICATE OF DETERMINATION.
At a State Primary Election held in the City of Madison Heights, County of
Oaldand, State of Michigan, on Tuesday, August 8, 2006, the following
local Proposal R and Proposal V were submitted to the electorate:
PROPOSAL R - Residential Street Repair Milian
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO SECTION 9.1 OF THE
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MADISON HEIGHTS
Shall the Charter of the City of Madison Heights be
amended to provide for public residential street rights-of-
way repair and reconstruction, and related sewer repair and
reconstruction, by levy and collection of two (2.00)
additional mills per year for ten years, beginning in 2007?
If approved, it is estimated that 2.00 mills would raise
approximately $2,376,000 when first levied in 2007,
PROPOSAL V - Vehicle Replacement Millage
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO SECTION 9.1 OF THE
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MADISON HEIGHTS.
Shall the Charter of the City of Madison Heights be
amended to provide for replacement of vehicles to be used in
providing police, fire, street maintenance and other City
services, by levy and collection of one-quarter (0.25)
additional mill per year for ten years, beginning in 2007? If
approved, it is estimated that 0.25 mills would raise
approximately $297,000 when first levied in 2007.
Pursuant to section 4.5 of the City Charter, the Board of Canvassers of the
City of Madison Heights, consisting of Jeff Geralds (Republican), Jean
Linville (Democrat), Douglas Mac Lean (Republican) and Vera Morrison
(Democrat) met on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at 7:30 p.m. in the
Municipal Building and determined the following results of the election as
certified on the statement of votes by the election inspectors of the fifteen
(15) precincts and one (1) absent voter counting board, as follows:
