IN RE: SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT - DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY
HELD BY SHERIFF
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, the Sheriff of Oakland County, by letter of September
20, 1990, has requested authority from this Board to dispose of recovered
stolen property which has been unclaimed for six months or more after
recovery, such authority being necessary pursuant to the provisions of Act
54 of the Public Act of 1959, as amended; said recovered stolen property
to be disposed of by manner of public auction to be held, Saturday,
October 6, 1990.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that authority to dispose of such
unclaimed property is hereby granted to the Sheriff of Oakland County,
such unclaimed property to be disposed of in the manner prescribed in Act
54 of the Public Acts of 1959, as amended.
Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Public Services Committee, I
move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
