HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1959.10.25 - 1918035,7 RESOLUTION BY: Mr. Clack ft-1 RE: REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON LOCAL TAXES (SUPPLEMENTAL) -- ADDITIC TO TAX WARRANTS FOR 'WATERFORD TOWNSHIP AND CITY OF TROY TO THE OAKLAND COU .:::3C.:ARD OF SUPERVISORS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Your Committee on Local Taxes reports that it has considered the request of Waterford Township to spread taxes on emitted property for the year 1957. The property is described as follows: R9E, Section 20, Waterford Township, Oakland County, Michigan, SW 1/4 of SW 1/4 except North 165 feet (W 409 D) containing 35 Acres. The amount of the emitted taxes and the valuation as approved by order of the State Tax Commission on October 20, is as follows: An assessment of $5,250.D0 en the forc...;:ping description and taxes spread for 1957 as follows: County Tax, $56.23; County Special Education, S57; Township Tax $.14.:::-6; School Tax $146.5::::,: Voted PA ilage for Building, $13';'.60; Total Tax $36450. Your Committee has also considered the request of the School District of the City of Tray to include a levy of S144,52.33 as an addition to the voted increase heretofore approved by the 0::ard of Supervisors by the adoption of Miscellaneous Resolution No 3576. The additional voted increase was approved by the electors at a Special Election on October 10, 1959. Your Committee recommends that the foregoing amounts be added to the tax warrants for the Township of Waterford and the City of Troy as an amendment to Resolution No, 3576. BE IT RESOLVED that this Board adopt this report of the Committee on Local Taxes with the recommendations therein contained as a part of the permanent records of this Board. 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT The foregoing amounts be added to the several tax warrants as approved by the adoption of Resolution No. 3576, thereby authorizing and directing the various assessing officers within the 15-mill limitation to levy the amounts set forth therein for 1959.
