Horton' cpter4 .t arr RESOLUTION November 2, 1960 BY: Mr. Levinson IN RE: BOND COUNTY TREASURER TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS Sections 35 and 36 of the Revised Statutes of 1846, Chapter 14, as amended (M.S.A. 5.681-2), require the County Treasurer to execute and file an official bond for the faithful performance of his duties in such amount, form and manner as shall be prescribed by the Board of Supervisors, and WHEREAS the previous bond for the County Treasurer has been in the amount of $150,000 but the Treasurer actually handles in excess of $75,000,000 per year, your Ways and Means Committee recommends that the bond of the Oakland County Treasurer for the two-year term beginning January 1, 1961, be fixed in the amount of $1,000,000, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the bond of the Oakland County Treasurer be fixed in the amount of $1,000,000 to run to the Board of Supervisors of Oakland County and the People of the State of Michigan. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the cost of the bond be paid from the General Fund of the County. MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Ways and Means Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
