SANATORIUM SITE BY WAYS & MEANS and BUILDINGS & GROUNDS COMMITTEE (Mr, Levinson) TO THE OAKIAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS: Mr, Chairman, Ladies & Gentlemen: WHEREAS, your Buildings and Grounds and Ways and Means Committees have had under consideration the feasibility of selling the following described property, commonly known as the Tuberculosis Sanatorium Site, to-wit; *The West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 31, Town 3 North, Range 9 East, Michigan; Waterford Twp; and also X—Farcel of land in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 31, Waterford Township, Oakland County, Michigan, and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East and West quarter section line of Section 31, said point being 1013.00 feet East from the center of said Section 31; thence North 350.00 feet to a point; thence East 504.70 feet to a point; thence 350,00 feet to a peint in the aforesaid East and West quarter section line; thence West 504,70 feet along said East and West quarter section to the point of beginning, containing 4.0552 acres of land;" and WHEREAS, Arthur F, Bassett and Roger H, Blackwood, duly qualified Real Estate appraisers as provided by our By-Laws, were appointed as appraisers to arrive at a fair market value for said property; and WHEREAS, said Appraisers have set a market value of $927,000.00 for said site; and WHEREAS, you Committees, after thorough investigation and study recommend that the property be sold at not less than the appraised value; and WHEREAS, the Oakland Community College has offered to purchase said property at the appraised value of $927,000.00 upon terms to be negotiated and agreed upon and approved by your Joint Committees; and no other offer has been tendered: BUIIDINGS a- GROUNDS COMMITTEE 0410C r t 11 viensam4trommwm......m.m. irmao o\ Louis F, 0ldenrg usr7iiriToirr_ ragMFerWil5r- WAYS MEANS COMMITTEE NOW THE4.FORE BE IT RLSOLVED that the offer of the Oakl -nd Community College to purchase said property at the appraised value of $927,000,00 be and the same is hereby ccepted upon terms to be negotiated and agreed upon and subject to the approval of the joint Committee; and that the Chai n and Clerk of tnis Bard be and thy are hereby authorized to execute the necessary conveyances to complete said transaction. MR. CBAIt on behalf of the Ways and Means -nd Buildings and Grounds Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution, Moved by Levinson supported by Case the resolution be adopted. A sufficient majority- having voted therefor, the resolution was adopted.
