RESOLUTION BY DRAIN COMMITTEE - Mr. Potter
RE: ACCEPTANCE ACCELERATED PUBLIC WORKS
GRANT WITH SOUTHEASTERN OAKLAND COUNTY
SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM.
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:
Mr. Chairman, Ladies & Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, the County of Oakland has applied for a Federal
grant under the accelerated Public Works Program toward the construc-
tion of an interceptor sewer in connection with the Southeastern Oakland.
County Sewage Disposal System; and
WHEREAS, the sum of $1,377,671.00 has been granted to the
County. of Oakland by the United States of America:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of Oakland County, Michigan, that the offer of the United States of America
to grant to the County of Oakland the sum of $1,377,671,00 toward the con-
struction of a gravity interceptor in connection with the Southeastern Oak-
land County Sewage Disposal System,be and the same is hereby accepted and the
County Drain Commissioner, as the Agency of the County in respect to said
System, is hereby authorized and directed to execute the said acceptance and
to make the assurances contained in said offer.'
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in reference to Federal Sewage Works
Grant designated as APW-WPC-Mich,-.538 . the County of Oakland certifies as
follows:
a. Original planned or proposed expenditures (exclusive of Federal
expenditures) for all capital improvements during fiscal year
1963, July 1, 1962 to June 30, 1963, were $ 0

b. Revised planned or proposed expenditures (exclusive of Federal
expenditures) for all capital improvements during fiscal year
1963, July 1, 1962 to june 30, 1963, were $ 0
C, Only that portion of the amount of the increased expenditures
indicated above which is in excess of the applicant's share of
the cost of this project will be used to support other requests
for Federal grants.
MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Drain Committee, T move the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.
