In Re: LAKE ORION SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM - ACQUIRING A PARCEL OF
LAND FROM STATE OF MICHIGAN FOR SEWER EASEMENT PURPOSES
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
I offer the following resolution which was recommended by the Board of
Public Works, providing for the acquisition of a certain parcel of land in the
Village of Lake Orion from the State of Michigan for purposes of the construction,
operation, and maintenance of the Lake Orion Sewage Disposal System:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, by Miscellaneous Resolution No
4252, adopted on December 10, 1963, did approve of the establishment of a sewage
disposal system to be known as the "Lake Orion Sewage Disposal System" for
the purpose of disposing of sanitary sewage from the Lake Orion Sewage Disposal
District, which district lies wholly within the Village of Lake Orion, and
WHEREAS, construction plans and specifications for the Lake Orion
Sewage Disposal System as prepared by Hubbell, Roth and Clark, Inc., regis-
tered professional engineers, have been approved by the Board of Public Works
and by the Board of Supervisors of Oakland County and by the Council of the
Village of Lake Orion, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to acquire an easement over a parcel
of land owned by the State of Michigan for purposes of the construction, oper-
ation, and maintenance of the Lake Orion Sewage Disposal System, and
WHEREAS, said parcel of land is described as Lot 35, except the North
325 feet, of Assessors Plat No 1 of part of the W of the SW -1- of Section 1,
T4N, RIOE, Township of Orion, Oakland County, Michigan, according to the
plat thereof as recorded in Liber 53 of Plats, page 52, Oakland County Records,
and
WHEREAS, the Department of Conservation of the State of Michigan has
indicated its willingness to deed this parcel to the County of Oakland, under the
terms of Act 223, Public Acts of 1909, as amended, for the nominal fee of $1.00,
subject to a resolution from the Board of Supervisors indicating their willingness
to accept the conveyance which will include a reverter clause stating the parcel
must be used for public purpose only and if at a future date ceases to be used
for such purpose it shall revert to the State of Michigan:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Oakland County Board of
Supervisors
1. That the County of Oakland, Michigan is willing to accept the
conveyance of the above described parcel of land from the State
of Michigan under the terms heretofore mentioned.
2. That, R. J. Alexander, Director, Department of Public Works, be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to make an application
for the conveyance of the said parcel to the County of Oakland,
Michigan, and to furnish the Department of Conservation with
sufficient copies of this resolution, the $1.00 fee, and any other
reasonable information necessary to effect the conveyance.

of proceedings of the Oakland County Board of Supervisors taken at a
regular meeting held on April 13, 1965 in re:
Lake Orion Sewage Disposal System with the original record
thereof now remaining in my office, and that it is a true and correct
transcript therefrom, and of the while thereof.
