CHAIRMAN, LADIES AND GEKTLEMO: November 9, 1965 WHEREAS, Act 339 of the Public Acts of 1919 as amended, being M.S.A. 12.516, provides that a Beard of Supervisors may fix the license fees for dogs for licenses obtained on and after the 1st day of March of each year in an amount sufficient to pay the necessary fees and damages caused by dogs; and WHEREAS, the license fees for dogs on and after the 1st day of March of each year is now $2.00 and $4.00; and WHEREAS, the aforementioned fees are not sufficient to cover damages done by dogs and the cost of administering the program; and WHEREAS, a charge of $5.00 for male and unsexed dogs on and after March 1, and •7.50 for female dogs on and after said date is deemed sufficient to cover the cost of administration and damages done by dogs., NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the license fee for male an unsexed dogs after March I be and the same is hereby fixed at $5,00, and. for female dogs on and after said date is fixed at $7.50, MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Ways and Means Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution. #4497 Moved by Levinson supported by O'Donoghue the resolution be adopted. A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the resolution Was adopted.
