IN RE: COMMENDATION OF ROBERT J. EVANS
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies & Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert J. Evans, Deputy Oakland County Drain Commissioner,
has served notice of his retirement effective March 1, 1966; and
WHEREAS„ Mr. Evans has served the citizens of this County as a County employee
since February 4, 1925, a period of forty-one years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Evans has, during his length of service, discharged his duties
faithfully and acquitted himself in such a manner as to be considered a model public
servant; and
WHEREAS, it seems both meet and just that such exemplary service be officially
recognized;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that on behalf of this Board, and the host
of friends Mr. Evans has through the years acquired, that Mr. Robert J. Evans be commended
for his outstanding record of meritorious service to the citizens of Oakland County and that
such commendation be spread upon the minutes and records of this Board and that a copy be
forwarded to Mr. Evans.
MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Drain Committee whose signatures appear
below, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
