IN RE: DOWNTOWN COURT HOUSE PROPERTY.
TO TIM OARIAND COUNTY te t.o OF SUPERVISORS:
t MAN, LADIES & GENTLENEN:
Pursuant to Miscellaneous Resolution 3876 the joint comm.
ittees, along with the Board of Auditors, net on February 14, 1962, at
10 A. M. for the purpose of receiving bids for the sale of the downtown
Court House property. No bids were received.
The joint Committees adopted a resolution recoo -nding that
the Board of Auditors be authorized to advertise for bids to remove the
two buildings on the site, that is the former court house building and
former annex building.
MIL CHAIRMAN, I offer the following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Auditors be authorized to
advertise for bids for removal of the existing structures on the downtown
Court House site, such bids to be opened before the joint meeting of the
Ways and Means and Buildings and Grounds Committees, which are hereby
authorized to award a contract to the successful bidder for the demolition
of said buildings with the cost thereof to be paid from the contingent
fund,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the joint CoA ttees and the
Board of Auditors make a report to this Board of such action as icy be
taken pursuant to this resolution.
Mr. Chairman, on behalf of the Ways and Means Co* ttee, and
with the concurrence of the Buildings and Grounds Committee, I move the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.

A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the resolution
was adopted.
