Calhoun IN RE: RELEASE OF EASEMENT FOR TWELVE TOWNS RELIEF DRAINS - TO THE OAKLAND couma BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, on December 2, 1959 the School District of the City of Royal Oak granted a right-of-way to the County of Oakland for location of a portion of Twelve Towns Relief Drains in property adjacent to Dondero High School, and WHEREAS, said right-of-way was recorded in Liber 4062, Pages 11 to 16, both inclusive, on March 24, 1960, in Oakland County records, and WHEREAS, said drain has not been constructed in this right-of-way and the County now has no use for that right-of-way, and WHEREAS, a new location is proposed and a new right-of-way will be granted to the Twelve Towns Drainage District by the School District for the City of Royal Oak, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chairman and Clerk of this Board be authorized to execute and deliver a quit claim deed to the School District of the City of Royal Oak, of the following described drainage easement: Easement through the following described property owned by the School District of the City of Royal Oak in Section 16, T1N, R11E, City of Royal Oak, Oakland County Michigan: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 9, Assessor's Plat No. 35 as recorded in Liber 14, Page 57 of Plats, Oakland County Records; thence northeasterly along the south line of Lot 9, 72.75 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 9, or the southwest corner of Lot 25, Mary Anger Subdivision, as recorded in Liber 32, Page 22 of Plats; thence northerly along the westerly line of Lots 25 and 26, Mary Anger Subdivision, 86.64 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 26; thence northeasterly along north line of Lot 26, 132.89 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 26 or the west line of Pleasant Street; thence south- erly along the west line of Pleasant Street, 24.62 feet to a point, said point being 62.02 feet northerly from the southeast corner of Lot April 16, 1962 25; thence southeasterly across the vacated portion of Pleasant Street 57.06 feet to a point on the easterly line of Pleasant Street, or westerly line of Lot 40, Mary Anger Sub- division, said point being 29.58 feet northe erly from the southwest corner of Lot 40; thence continuing southeasterly 52.26 feet to a point on the south. line of Lot 40, said point being 44.50 feet easterly from the south- west corner of Lot 40; thence continuing south- easterly 88.39 feet to a point, said point being 50 feet at right angles to south line of Mary Anger Subdivision; thence northeasterly and parallel to south line of said suhdivision. 130.08 feet to a point on westerly line of Edgewood Drive produced southerly; thence southerly along the westerly line of Edgewood Drive produced 10.65 feet to a point, said point being 60 feet at right angles to the south line of Mary Anger Subdivision; thence northeasterly and parallel to south line of said subdivision crossing vacated portion of Edgewood Drive and continuing 338.20 feet to a point OR westerly line of Mary- wood Avenue; thence southerly along said westerly line of Marywood Avenue 190.13 feet to a point, said point being 50 feet at right angles to the north line of Austin Avenue; thence northeasterly and parallel to north line of Austin Avenue 648.66 feet to the westerly line of Washington Avenue; thence southwesterly along westerly line of Washington Avenue 338.70 feet to a point, said point being 52.50 feet at right angles to the south line of Willis Avenue; thence south- westerly and parallel to south line of Willis Avenue 649.68 feet to a point, said point being 60 feet at right angles to east line of West Street produced; thence southwesterly and parallel to east line of West Street 180.33 feet to a point, said point being 60 feet at right angles .to the south line of Forum Avenue; thence southwesterly and parallel to the south line of Farnum Avenuy. 435.71 feet to the easterly line of the G. T. W. RR.; thence northwesterly along easterly line of G.T.W. RR. 815.20 feet to the place of beginning; 15.246 A, more or less, the description of which easement is as follows: An easement of 20 feet width through the above described property, the centerline of which easement extends from a point on the west line of West Street distant 30 feet north of the south line of Willis Avenue westerly approxi- mately 522 feet to a point on the easterly right-of-way line of G.T.W. RR. distant 168 feet northwesterly from the intersection of said right-of-way line with the north line of Farnum Avenue. 3943 -2- William K. DRAIN COMMITTEE (Certificate of copy of record by County Clerk to be attached.) Moved by Calhoun supported by Potter the resolution be adopted. A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the resolution was adopted.
