HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1962.06.25 - 19877June 25, 1962 Misc. 3991 Recommended by The Board of Public Works In Re: HURON-ROUGE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM Moved by Horton , supported by Staman the adoption of the following resolution: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Oakland County Board of Public Works, on June 19, 1962, did approve a form of Sewage Disposal Agreement to be dated June 1, 1962, between the County of Oakland and the County of Wayne providing for acceptance into the Wayne County Rouge Valley Sewage Disposal System of sanitary sewage originating in the Huron-Rouge Sewage Disposal District in Oakland County and the transportation of such sanitary sewage to the City of Detroit for treatment and disposal by said city, and did authorize the Chairman and Secretary of the Board of Public Works to execute said Agreement subject to the approval of this Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, the above mentioned Agreement provides for the payment to Wayne County of the sum of $309,362. 48 for the purchase of four cubic feet per second of capacity in said Rouge Valley Sewage Disposal System and the payment of sewage dis- posal service charges at the rates charged by Wayne County to the municipalities in Wayne County served by said system, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chairman and Secretary of the Board of Public Works be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver on behalf of said County of Oakland, a Sewage Disposal Agreement to be dated June 1, 1962, between the County of Oakland and the County of Wayne, which reads as follows: anci Ug 1962 June A.
