Hugh DOhanY Hugii G:Allerton, Jr. Leroy Davis • Wesley Duncan (f:m: Duane Hursfall _ Miscellaneous Resolution 3993 September 10, 1962 BY: Mr. Heacock IN RE: SALE OF COUNTY OWNED PROPERTY To the Oakland County Board of Supervisors Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to Miscellaneous Resolutions No, 3667, 3845, 3878 and 3919 adopted by the Board, your Buildings and Grounds Committee authorized the Board of Auditors to sell the surplus County owned properties at Public Auction, which was conducted in the Supervisors Room on July 24, 1962. At said Auction 21 parcels of property were offered for sale. These parcels had a total appraised value of $60,650.00. Of this number, 14 parcels were sold for $26,750.00, and contracts have been executed with the successful bidders. These 14 parcels had an appraised value of $23,900.00. Your Committee, at a meeting on September 6, 1962, authorized the Board of Auditors to conduct another auction on the property located at 548 East Lincoln Avenue, Birmingham. Although no bid was received at the last auction on this parcel, there have been several persons interested in the purchase of this property of recent date. The auction will be held in the Supervisors Room on September 19, 1962, at 1:30 p.m. Your Committee is continuing a review of the remaining parcels along with other County owned property which may be available for sale in the future, and will report back to the Board at a future meeting. MR. CHAIRMAN, I move that the foregoing report be received and placed on file. BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE Moved by Heacock supported by Wallace Hudson the report be placed on file. A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the motion carried.
