IN RE: EMPLOYMENT OF ARCHITECT FOR SOUTH OAKLAND HEALTH BUILDING
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS this Board by Miscellaneous Resolution 3923 authorized the application
to the State of Michigan for the allocation of funds under the Hill-Burton Act towards the
construction of a South Oakland County Health Department facility and further, by
Miscellaneous Resolution 3931, has provided for the County's share of the financing of
the same, and
WHEREAS it has been necessary to utilize the services of an architectural firm in
the preparation and submission of the federal application, which work has been done by
the firm of Bery-Klei & Associates, Architects, under the direction of the Buildings and
Grounds and Health Committees, and
WHEREAS said joint Committees have recommended the employment of Bery-Klei &
Associates as the architects for said project, and
WHEREAS your Ways and Means Committee concurs in the opinion of the joint
Committees above that said firm should be so employed at this time;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Auditors be authorized to
execute an agreement with Bery-Klei & Associates, Architects, for architectural services on
the above project, the rendering of said services to be under the direction of the Buildings
and Grounds Committee and Board of Auditors pursuant to the By-Laws of this Board.
MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Ways and Means Committee, and with the
concurrence of the Buildings and Grounds and Health Committees, I move the adoption of
the foregoing resolution.
