Horton Davi-a- Levinson, %Chairman Miscellaneous Resolution 41 55 April 15, 1963 BY: Mr. Levinson IN RE: ESTABLISHMENT OF POSITION OF LEGISLATIVE AGENT TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, the Legislative Committee on April 8, 1963, and the Salaries Committee on April 10, 1963, have recommended that the position of Legislative Agent be established by this Board and that a stipend of $7,500.00 per calendar year, including expenses, be provided for this purpose, and WHEREAS, this Committee is of the opinion that such a position would be of valuable assistance and in the best interests of this County; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That the position of Legislative Agent be established by the Board of Supervisors. 2. That the sum of $7,500.00 per calendar year, including expenses, be appropriated from the Contingent Fund for this purpose. 3. That the Legislative Agent be employed as an independent contractor by and under the direction of the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to work on behalf of said Board in promoting the best interests of this County in the Legislature. 4. That the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors be and he is hereby authorized to enter into and execute a contract on behalf of the Board of Supervisors to effectuate this resolution. MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Ways and Means Committee, and with the concurrence of the Legislative and Salaries Committees, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
