IN RE: REMODELING TO PROVIDE FOR 6TH CIRCUIT COURT
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
In accordance with Miscellaneous Resolution No. 4190, your Ways and Means and
Buildings and Grounds Committees and the Board of Auditors met in ioint session to receive
and tabulate bids for the remodeling to provide a 6th Circuit Courtroom and Judge's
chambers.
Bids were received as follows:
F. H. Martin, Detroit, Michigan $42,140.00
Maurice Rogers, Detroit, Michigan 41,275.00
Julian Wilson & Sons, Birmingham, Michigan 33,453.00
In addition, estimated costs for this remodeling are as follows:
Total $16,107.00
The Architects have reported that the low bidder, Julian Wilson & Sons, are
responsible bidders and that the low bids received are in order.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the contract for the remodeling to provide for a 6th Circuit Courtroom and
chambers be awarded to the low bidder, Julian Wilson & Sons, Birmingham, Michigan, in
the amount of $33,453.00.
2. That the Board of Auditors be authorized to execute the necessary contracts on
behalf of the County of Oakland, said contracts to be prepared by the Architects and
approved by the Corporation Counsel, and upon execution to return all bid bonds of the
unsuccessful bidders.

3. That the additional estimated costs in the amount of $16,107.00 as above
listed be approved.
4. That the sum of $49,560.00 be appropriated for this purpose from the Contingent
and Unappropriated Surplus Funds.
MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Ways and Means and Buildings and Grounds
Committees, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
