O'Donoghue Fran ,/ VOTF - IN RE: EMPLOYMENT OF ARCHITECT FOR ARCHITECTURAL STUDIES ON RENOVATION OF TUBERCULOSIS SANATORIUM AND MEDICAL CARE FACILITY TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, your Committees have had before them for some time recommendations for the transfer of the present operations of the Medical Care Facility in a modified form to the Tuberculosis Sanatorium, and the use of the former facility for the relief of overcrowded conditions at the Children's Center, and WHEREAS, the studies to date indicate potential operational savings, increased efficiency and some solution to the juvenile problem, and WHEREAS, it is necessary at this time to more fully evaluate this program as to the cost and savings factors involved to have preliminary architectural studies prepared; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Auditors be authorized to employ the firm of Harry M. Denyes, Jr. Associates, Inc., Pontiac, Michigan, to prepare preliminary architectural studies on the renovations necessary to such moves, at a cost not to exceed $3,000.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $3,000.00 be appropriated from the Contingent Fund for this purpose. MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Ways and Means and Buildings and Grounds Committees, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
