WHEREAS, the Oakland County Board of Supervisors, at a meeting

normal level of a chain of lakes located in the Townships of 'Naterford and
Mptiac, Oakland County, Michigan; and
WHEREAS-, the lakes included in such resolution are designated as
follows: Loon Lake, Silver Lake, Upper (Little) Silver Lake, Schoolhouse
Lake, Mohawk Lake, Wormer Lake, Angelus Lake; and
and maintained through the regulation of two dams located on property owned by
th,- Michigan State Conservation Department and described as follows, to-wit:

WHEREAS, in order to effect the control and maintenance of the
aforementioned lakes it will be necessary to acquire by Public Use Deed title
tc, the two dams at the Drayton Plains Hatchery which control the level of the
Clinton River and in turn the levels of the connecting lakes herein referred
to together with an easement for ingress and egress to service these struc-
tures; and
WHEREAS, the Michigan State Department of Conservation has indi-
cated its willingness to release and convey to the County of Oakland the title
to the subject dams together with an easement for ingress and egress for the
purpose of servicing these structures; and

the dams and the description for the proposed easements - are as follows:

WHEREAS, the Department of Conservation has requested that, until
such time as a legal level of Loon Lake is determined by Court Order, the Board :
of Supervisors will cause the control devices in said structures to be so regu-
lated as to maintain a level in said Loon Lake within reasonable limits of
U.S.G.S. elevation 949.0 feet above sea level.

NOW, 7717 70RE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board respectfully re-
quests that the Michi7an Department of Conservation releases and conveys to the !
C7ounty of Oakland, under a Putlic Use Dr2d, an easement to the two dam site
locations together with an c-Ise -ctnt for ingress and egress purposes to serve
sue structures, the locations of which are herein described. It being under-
stood that the Michigan. State Department of Conservation reserves to itself the
right to use such easements for purposes of ingress and egress and for such
other purposes as it may deem necessary other than exercising control of the
aforementioned control structures.
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED, that this Board requests the Oakland County
Drain Commissioner to so regulate the control devices in these structures in
such manner as to maintain a level in Loon Lake within reasonable limits
U.S.G.S. elevation 949.0 feet and that such level be maintained as nearly as
-70sible until a legal level of said lake is set by Circuit Court Order.
BE IT FURTHEr. 77SOLVED, that the Oakland County Drain Commissioner
'oe instructed and authorized to take such procedural steps as he may deem
necessary to achieve the results herein indicated,

Mr. MacDonald requested that the Drain Commissioner explain
how the level of Sylvan, Otter and Cass Lakes and the Dawson Mill
Pond can be maintained.

as to the effect on the other lakes.
