Carey Miscellaneous Resolution 41 8 9 June 24, 1963 BY: Mr. CurL .it1s IN RE: ADVANCE OF FUNDS TO COUNTY OFFICIALS FOR COUNTY BUSINESS TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, Act 27 of the Public Acts of 1963 provides that the Board of Supervisors, by resolution, may authorize the County Treasurer to advance funds to any County officer for anticipated expense in connection with County business; and WHEREAS, said Act 27 also provides that such County officer receiving an advance shall make a complete accounting of all funds and return any unused funds; and WHEREAS, your Committee believes it is in the best interests of the County to advance funds to County officials for anticipated expenses in connection with County business; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Treasurer, subject to the approval of the Board of Auditors, be authorized to advance funds to any County officer for anticipated expense in connection with County business, such County officer to make a complete accounting of all funds and return any unused funds to the County. MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Ways and Means Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
