HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1964.01.17 - 20347January 17, 1964 RESOLUTLN 4257 RE; ANNEXATION TO VILLAGE OF WOLVERINE LAKE BY: BOUNDAYTES OF CITIES & VILLAGES COMMITTEE (Mr. They) TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Mr. Chairman, Ladies & Gentlemen: Your Boundaries Committee respectfully reports that on the 21st day of November, 1963, a petition, duly signed by the proper number of qualified electors and freeholders, was filed with the County Clerk praying for the annexation of a portion of the Township of Commerce, Oakland County, Mich- igan to the Village of Wolverine Lake, Oakland County, Michigan. Your Boundaries Committee has examined the petition and found it to be sufficient as to form and substance and recommends that the question of annexation be submitted to the electors at the regular Village Election to be held on the ,6th day of April, A. D., 1964. WHEREFORE, MR. CHATRMAN, I MOVE: 1. That this Board, by adoption of tnis resolution, approve the form and sufficiency of the petition above described; 2. That the County Clerk be directed to take the necessary steps, pursuant to the provisions of Act 278 of the Public Acts of 1909, as amended, (K.S.A. Sec, 5.1511 et seq) to submit the question of annexation of the following described lands in the Township of Commerce, Oakland Co- unty, Michigan, to the Village of Wolverine Lake, Oakland County, Michigan, to-wit: "The West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 27, T 2 N, R 8 E, Commerce Township, Oakland County, Michigan."; and 3. That the date of the electiOn on the above described annexation be fixed as the date of the regular Village Election to be held on the 6th day of April, 1964. MR.
