HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1964.01.31 - 20369Mr. Edwards advised the Board that the bids received for the construction of the Farmington Sewage Disposal System - 13 Mile Road Arm, Section I were less than the estimate and, therefore, it is deemed advisable to decrease the project cost and also the Government's Grant participation. The "Offer to Amend Grant Agreement was presented to the Board of Supervisors, with the recommendation of the Board of Public Works that it be accepted. The "Offer to Amend Grant Agreement" and attached Exhibit "B" is as follows: Misc. Resolution No. Re: FARMINGTON SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM - 13 MILE ROAD ARM, SECTION I Recommended by: Board of Public Works Submitted by: Mr. Edwards_, Sretary, Board of Public Works It was moved by Mr. Edwa:r-els and supported by Mr. that the following resolution be adopted: RESOLUTION ACCEPTANCE OF THE OFFER TO AMEND GRANT AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, acting by and through the Regional Director of Community Facilities, has transmitted to County of Oakland, Michigan, acting by and through the Board of Public Works of Oakland County, Michigan (herein called the "Applicant") for acceptance an Offer to Amend Grant Agreement dated January 23, 1964 in connection with the project identified as Project No. APW-Mich. -15G; and WHEREAS, said Offer to Amend Grant Agreement has been fully considered in accordance with all pertinent rules of procedure and legal requirements, and made a part of the Applicant's public records; and WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable and in the public interest that said Offer to Amend Grant Agreement be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, be it Resolved by County of Oakland, Michigan, acting by and through the Board of Public Works of Oakland County, Michigan that the Offer to Amend Grant Agreement, a true and correct copy of whi ch is hereto attached, be and the same hereby is accepted without reservation or qualification, and the Applicant agrees to comply with the provisions thereof. Passed by the aforementioned governing body of the Applicant on the 31st day of January, 1964.
