Edwards Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: the Township of Pontiac did RE300/TION wirmAs water supplied by the City of Detroit is available at the south Zinc of the Township of Pontiac and it is desirable that township water supply mains b*.-; conztruct d with the necessary pumping facilities to distribute water supplied by the City of Detroit to various areas of the Township, end WITZRZAS, it appears most f...,,esible and desirable to the County of Ca%land establish a county water supply system within the Township of Pontiac, and to caastruct and to finance water supply mains as may be required, and to contract with the Township of Pontiac for pay,aont of the cc%st of the acquisition of such water supply system. THEREFORE, BE rr RESOLVED by the Township Board of the Township of Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan, as follows: (1) That the County of Oakland is heweby requested to establish a county water supply system within the Township of Pontiac pursuant to Act No. 185, Michigan Public Acts of 1957, as amended, and to construct and finance water supply mains, including pumping facilities to distribute water supplied by the City of Detroit. (2) That the County of Oakland and the Township of Pontiac shall hi ,vt:,.,--After o an appropriate contract with respect to tho location, construction, financing and operation of said water supply system. (3) That the Township of Pontiac hereby agrees to reinfourt-:,o it.'410 said County of Oakland for all reasonable engineering and administrative costs hereafter actually incurred by the Oakland County Department of Public Works in connection with the plan- ning, location, construction and financing of said county water supply system, in the event that, or reasons beyond the control of said County, the said county water supply system is not completed or the bonds to finance the same are not sold.
