IN RE: COUNTY OWNED LAND, AUTHORIZE SALE OF
June 22, 1964
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, the County of Oakland has title to a parcel of property in the City
of Ferndale; and
WHEREAS, for some years the dwelling thereon was used to house indigent persons;
and
WHEREAS, the building is vacant and has fallen into disrepair; and
WHEREAS, the Social Welfare Board advised the Welfare Committee at its
meeting on May 26, 1964, that there is no foreseeable use for said dwelling for welfare
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Welfare Committee adopted a resolution recommending that this
property be referred to your Buildings and Grounds Committee for sale, if it is determined
to be of no further use to the County, at the appraised value, and that the proceeds from
such sale be credited to the Indigent Housing Fund; and
WHEREAS, your Buildings and Grounds Committee believes that it would be to
the best interest of the County to sell this property and place the same on the tax roll
of the assessing district;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Auditors and Buildings and
Grounds Committee be authorized to sell the property, described as:
The West 35 feet of Lot 30, Badder Heights Subdivision, City of
Ferndale, Oakland County, Michigan, according to the plat
thereof recorded in Liber 16, page 8 of Plats, Oakland County
Register of Deeds Office
in accordance with the By-Laws of the Board of Supervisors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman and Clerk of the Board of
Supervisors be authorized to execute the necessary conveyances to complete the
transfer of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any proceeds from disposition of said property
be deposited in the Indigent Housing Fund.
MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Buildings and Grounds Committee, I move
the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
