HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1964.04.14 - 20428Miscellaneous Resolution 4295 April 14, 1964 BY: Mr. Ingraham IN RE: REPORT ON SENATE BILL 1370, COUNTY HOME RULE TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the County of Oakland is in favor of County Home Rule, and WHEREAS the 1964 General Session of the Legislature has failed to report out of committee Senate Bill 1370, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Board of Supervisors go on record recommending to both houses of the State Legislature that a joint interim study committee be established to report to the respective houses in the 1965 General Session. MR. CHAIRMAN, on behalf of the Legislative Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution. LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE Moved by Ingraham supported by Rehard the resolution be adopted. A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the resolution was adopted.
