McA7vOy BY: Mr. Hudson IN RE: MEMORIAL FOR GARNER MILLER TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: Garner Miller, a former member of this Board, passed away at the age of 90 on September 5, 1964, after a brief illness. He resided at 3719 Linwood in the City of Royal Oak. Mr. Miller was born March 13, 1874 in Belvidere, New Jersey. He was married to the late Emma Reed. Garner Miller was a former Troy Township Supervisor and a member of the Oakland County Board of Supervisors from April 1930 until April 1933. He also served as Troy Township Clerk from April 1925 to April of 1930. He was a member of the Pontiac Elk's Lodge, Senior Men's Club of Birmingham and Pontiac Historical Society. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a son, Robert T. of Royal Oak and two sisters, Mrs. Seymour Adams of Birmingham and Mrs. William Willever of New Jersey. As a public servant, he served the Township of Troy and Oakland County well with a high regard for his fellow citizen. He enjoyed a host of friends who will miss him keenly. MR. CHAIRMAN, I move that the foregoing memorial be spread upon the minutes of the Board of Supervisors and that the County Clerk be instructed to forward a certified copy thereof to his surviving son Robert T.
