October 18, 2012 MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #12265 BY: Public Services Committee, Jim Runestad, Chairperson IN RE: SHERIFF'S OFFICE - ESTABLISHMENT OF STANDARD LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT RATES AND CONTRACT APPROVAL -JANUARY 1, 2013 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2015 To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS it is the policy of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners to permit the Sheriffs Office to enter into contracts with townships, villages and cities for the purpose of providing Sheriff patrol services; and WHEREAS new contract. rates have been developed for the three (3) year period commencing January 1, 2013, through December 31, 2015, consistent with the attached schedule; and WHEREAS these rates have been through the County Executive review process. FISCAL NOTE (MISC. #12265) November 1, 2012 BY: Finance Committee, Tom Middleton, Chairperson IN RE: SHERIFF'S OFFICE - ESTABLISHMENT OF STANDARD LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT RATES AND CONTRACT APPROVAL - JANUARY 1, 2013 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2015 To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to Rule XII-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed the above referenced resolution and finds: 1. Miscellaneous Resolution #11241 authorized the establishment of Law Enforcement Services contract rates for the period January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012. 2. This resolution establishes Law Enforcement Services contract rates for the thirty-six (36) month period January 1,2013 through December 31, 2015. 3. The proposed contract rates cover direct operational costs. 4. The budget will be reviewed and amended at the time the 2013-2015 patrol contracts are presented to the Board of Commissioners for approval. FINANCE COMMITTEE FINANCE COMMITTEE Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote with Runestad absent.
