The Royal Oak Board of Canvassers, having ascertained and canvassed the votes at the General Election held
in the City of Royal Oak on Tuesday, November 8, 2005,
Do Hereby Certify and Determine
That James B. Ellison having received the largest number of votes, 9494, is elected Mayor.
That Carlo P. Ginotti having received the largest number of votes, 9707, is elected City Commission
4-year term
That Stephen Miller having received the largest number of votes, 8391, is elected City Commission 4-
year term
That Gary Lelito having received the largest number of votes, 6465, is elected City Commission 4-
year term
Do Further Hereby Determine:
That the proposal, worded on the ballot as follows:
CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSAL 05-01
Shall the Charter be amended at Chapter 4, Section 2 to reduce the number of signatures required of candidates
for elected city office from 500 to 200?
WAS FAILED, not having received the required majority of votes, id est:

CITY OF ROYAL OAK MILLAGE PROPOSAL TO LEVY AN EXTRA MILLAGE TO OPERATE THE ROYAL OAK
GENERAL FUND
Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be imposed each year for all purposes on real and tangible
personal property in the City of Royal Oak be increased and the City Commission of the City be authorized to levy a
new tax not to exceed 1.75 mils ($1.75 per $1,000.°° of taxable valuation) on the taxable value of such property for
a period of three (3) years beginning with the levy made on July 1, 2006 (which will generate estimated revenues of
$3,775,031 in the first year) for the purpose of operating the city's General Fund?
WAS FAILED, not having received the required majority of votes, id est:
YEA: 5115
NAY: 10920
WE DO HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing is a correct statement of votes as submitted at the
November 8, 2005 Election as it appears from the statement on file in the City Clerk's Office of the
City of Royal Oak.
