The Royal Oak Board of Canvassers, having ascertained and canvassed the votes at the Primary
Election held in the City of Royal Oak on Tuesday, August 8, 2006,
Does Hereby Certify and Determine
That the proposal, worded on the ballot as follows:
CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSAL
06-01
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 8, SECTION 11(b) OF THE ROYAL OAK CITY
CHARTER TO ALLOW FOR A REFUSE COLLECTION, DISPOSAL AND CURBSIDE RECYCLING
MILLAGE.
The proposed amendment to the Royal Oak Charter, if approved, would allow the City to levy
a millage, for a period not to exceed five (5) years up to 1.00 mill, to defray the costs of refuse
collection, disposal and curbside recycling.
WAS PASSED, having received the required majority of votes, id est:
TOTAL BALLOTS CAST: 8,847
YEA: 5,291
NAY: 3,031
WE DO HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing is a correct statement of votes as submitted at the
August 8, 2006 Election as it appears from the statement on file in the City Clerk's Office of the City of
Royal Oak.
IN WITNESSWHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hands and affixed the Seal of the City this fifteenth day of
August in the year two thousand and six.

The Royal Oak Board of Canvassers having ascertained and canvassed the votes at the
Primary Election held in the City of Royal Oak on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 Does Hereby
Certify and Determine
That the whole number of votes given for the Charter Amendment Proposal 06-01 was 8,321 of
which five thousand two hundred ninety-one (5,291) votes were marked YES and three
thousand and thirty-one (3,031) votes were marked NO.
