RESOLUTION April 18, 1960

IN RE: ADDITION TO EDUCATION BUILDING
TO: THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, the Buildings and Grounds Committee has recommended that an
addition to the Education Building at the Service Center as designed for the County Board
of Education be erected in accordance with the plans prepared by Zimmerman Associates,
Architects, and as laid out by Wilcox and Laird, Landscape Architects, and
WHEREAS, the Buildings and Grounds Committee has further recommended that
the proposed addition is necessary and advisable and that the plan thereof is an appropriate
type of structure and lay-out to be attached to the Board of Education Building, and
WHEREAS, the County Board of Education has advised that it will finance the
entire cost of such construction from funds it has on hand other than County funds;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
I. That the addition to the Education Building as designed be erected pursuant
to the site recommendations of Wilcox and Laird, Landscape Architects.
2. That the Board of Education be advised to have final plans and specifications
prepared by Zimmerman Associates, Architects,
3. That the Board of Supervisors concurs with the Board of Education in authoriza-
tion to take bids on the same.
4. That the final plans and specifications be made subject to the approval of the
Buildings and Grounds Committee,
5. That construction be subject to inspection by the County Engineer under the super-
vision of the Board of Auditors and the Buildings and Grounds Committee.
6, That the County Board of Education be authorized to finance this construction
from its funds.

adoption of the foregoing resolution.
