NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland Board of Commissioners authorizes implementation of the Salary Administration Plan S ti Quarterly Report for FY 2014, which includes the following changes: 1. DRAFT 04/29/14 Class Title: Department: Reports To: FLSA Status: OAKLAND COUNTY MICHIGAN COURT BUSINESS MANAGER Circuit Court / Court Business Division Deputy Court Administrator Exempt GENERAL SUMMARY Under general direction, is responsible for overseeing and directing the development and delivery of administrative support services for the Probate Court and Circuit Court, including, personnel, financial and technical operations, information and systems management, facilities management, courtroom support, alternative funding sources and grants. In the absence of or upon request acts on behalf of the Circuit Court Administrator and directs court operations. Responsible for budget development, presentation and approval, facilities planning, technological planning and implementation, monitoring expenditures and revenues, contract administration, and developing and implementing court policies and procedures. May represent the Court in all areas of responsibility before governmental and community organizations. Serves as the court's liaison with various local and state agencies as well as other county depattments and boards. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Working through subordinate supervisors, plans, directs, makes staffing decisions and exercises control over the Court Business Division. In absence of, or at the direction of the Circuit Court Administrator, serve as backup assuming administrative and managerial responsibilities of this position. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Serves as chief fiscal officer for the court, monitoring expenditures and revenues. Approves all disbursements of Circuit Court and Probate Court funds. Serves as bargaining team spokesperson at bargaining sessions and management team spokesperson during grievance committee meetings. Have not been convicted of: A violation of criminal law (Criminal Law being all offenses except traffic law, conservation law and liquor law. In general, conviction for a violation of criminal law is automatically disqualifying.) NOTE: Any conviction or convictions for moving traffic violations, accidents, non-moving traffic violations or violation of other laws will be reviewed by the Sheriffs Department before an applicant can be appointed. 4. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license. 5. Pass the total examination, including the employment medical established for this. 6.
