Shall the Charter of the City of Southfield
be amended to provide the city council the
opportunity to enhance police and fire
protection and related services to the ,resi-
dents of Southfield by collecting an addi-
tional amount up to, but not to exceed
1 /10 of 1% (1 mill), by a general tax upon
the assessed value of all real and personal
property in the city?

amended by providing for the recruitment and
trainirg of volunteer reserve units to assist
the pc,tce and fire departments to preserve life
ad property?
Shall the Charter of the City of Southfield be
amended to require the Fire Department to
assign firefighters to actual duty on a daily
basis for advanced life support services, fire
suppression, and fire prevention, with the total
number on each shift not less than 1 firefighter
for every 2,250 residents served by the Fire
Department, and to raise the existing property
tax limit by 1/10 of 1% (1 mill) of assessed
valuation to pay the costs of such Fire
Department assignments?
