IN RE: 52nd i st DIVISION DISTRICT COURT — APPROVAL OF FIFTY-SECOND DISTRICT COURT
MAGISTRATE - MICHAEL L. BOSNIC
To the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners has provided for magistrates for the Fifty-
Second District Court; and
WHEREAS the Judges of the Fifty-Second District Court have appointed Michael L. Bosnic, Attorney at
law, to serve as a magistrate for the Fifty-Second District Court; and
WHEREAS MCL 600.8501(a) provides that magistrate appointments be approved by the County Board of
Commissioners.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners hereby
approves the appointment of Michael L. Bosnic, Attorney at law, to act as a magistrate for the Fifty-
Second District Court.
Chairperson, on behalf of the General Government Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing
resolution.

criminal matters. Well versed in United States civil rights law, having successfully litigated
a number of employment discrimination cases of behalf of plaintiffs, from investigation and
initial pleadings through trial, jury verdict and appeal.
DRUG / SOBRIETY COURT ATTORNEY, Novi, Troy, Waterford, MI 2001-2010
- Appointed by the Judges of the Novi, Troy and Waterford District Courts to aid in the
implementation of their Drug/Sobriety Court programs through the representation of
participants as well as the continuous effort to facilitate program improvement.

Worked as a sole practicing attorney, rated "AV" by Martindale Hubbell. Handled a
number of cases relating to civil and criminal matters, including obtaining successful
verdicts in a number of civil jury trials. Featured on the cover of Michigan Lawyers Weekly
on February 10, 2003 'Or obtaining a record jury verdict in a federal civil rights case
against the Department of Treasury.
