Dear Sir:
At the General Election held Monday,. April 5, 1971, in the City of
Troy, the following Charter Amendment was placed on the ballot for
approval by the Electorate of the City .of Troy:
"Shall Chapter 6, Section 6.13 of the Charier of
the City of Troy be amended to require City
Officials to file full disclosure statements of
interests nterests in real estate, ownership
interests in businesses doing business in the
City of Troy, and political contributions?"
The Charter Amendment was approved by the following vote:
YES: ' 1907.

Thereby it was approved that Section 6,13 of the Charter of the City
of Troy was amended by the addition of Section 6.13(f) and a copy is
attached.

CHARTER AMENDMENT Nu.
That Chapter 6, Section 6.13 shall be amended by the addition
of Subsection (f) thereof, requiring full disclosure state-
ments by elected and appointed officers of the .City of Troy,.
and shall read as follows:
"Section 6.13 (f). A full disclosure statement
shall be filed with the City Clerk by all candi-
dates for election to the City Commission at the
time of the filing of nominating petitions and -
on the 15th day of April immediately thereafter,.
and on the 15th day of April each year thereafter
during his term of office.
A full disclosure statement shall be filed
with the City Clerk by all candidates for appoint
ment to the City Planning 'Commission, the Board of
Zoning Appeals, and the Liquor Committee prior to
their appointment thereto, and each year there-
after on the anniversary of their appointment dur-
ing their term of office.
- The City Attorney, the City Manager, all..
department heads and inspectors shall be required
to file with the City Clerk a full disclosure
statement prior to their appointment and/or employ ,
ment,.and each year thereafter on the 15th day of

formation, to-wit:
1. All ownership interests in real estate

2. -All ownbrship interests in any corpo-
rations, partnerships, joint ventures
or sole proprietorships located or
doing business in the City of TrOy.
3. All political and/or contribUtions,.
donations', gifts from land developers,
real estate companies, real estate
brokers, contractors, and/or any combi-
nation of businesses or firms doing
buSiness with the City of Troy requir-
ing licenses, permits, zoning changes
or variances required to operate in
the City of Troy.
4. Paragraphs 1 through 3 above shall
include officers and members of their
family, which term shall include spouse,
children and the spouse of any of them.
Any officer who shall violate the provisions herein
contained shall be subject to removal from office, in
accordance with the procedures set forth in Section 6.4 .
of this Charter."-
