HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1993.12.09 - 22626PERM IrTEE Miscellaneous Resolution # uni2 February 11, 1993 BY: PERSONNEL COMMITTEE - Marilynn Gosling, Chairperson IN RE: PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT - 1993 WAGE RE-OPENER AGREEMENT REPRESENTED BY LOCAL 889, UNITED AUTO FOR EMPLOYEES °SPACE SANITARIANS) TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: , WHEREAS the County of Oakland and Local 889, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, U.A.W., have been negotiating a 1993 wage rate covering Public Health Sanitarian Technician, Public Health Sanitarian and Senior Public Health Sanitarian employees of the Oakland County Health Division, pursuant to the 1990 - 1993 collective bargaining agreement; and WHEREAS an agreement has been reached with these employees for the period December 26, 1992 through December 31, 1993 and said agreement has been reduced to writing; and WHEREAS the agreement has been reviewed by your Personnel Committee which recommends approval of the agreement. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the agreement between the County of Oakland, the Oakland County Health Division, and Local 889, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, U.A.W., be and the same are hereby approved; and that the Chairperson of this Board, on behalf of the County of Oakland, be and is hereby authorized to execute said agreement, copy of which is attached hereto. Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Personnel Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution. 1.-iEHOPANDUM OF A, This agreement is entered into this day of 1993 between the County of Oakland and the United Automobile Workers Local 889, Oakland County Unit - Environmental Health Services pursuant to Appendix A of the 1991 - 1993 collective bargaining agreement which provides for negotiations to deteLmine a 1993 wage rate for employees reoresented by this bargaining unit. The parties agree that the wages for calendar year 1993 shall be increased by 3% for all classifications represented by the unit and shall become effective December 26, 1992.
